Meet the Doctors
Dr. Vishal Sharma is the visionary behind Aura Orthodontics and is a board-certified orthodontist. He is passionate about developing new techniques and using technology to make treatments more efficient, more aesthetic and as comfortable as possible. His expertise includes all kinds of braces — including metal braces and clear braces — as well as Invisalign. He also specializes in dentofacial orthopedics.
When not designing beautiful smiles at his Surrey and Fraser Valley offices, Dr. Sharma teaches third and fourth year dental students in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of British Columbia, teaching new techniques. Dr. Sharma speaks English, Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu and makes his home in Surrey.
Originally from Vancouver, Dr. Everett Lin attended the University of Pennsylvania on a Dean’s scholarship. When he wasn’t studying or serving as a teaching assistant, he volunteered his dental expertise locally at the Children’s Hospital’s refugee clinic, as well as internationally in places like rural Guatemala. Dr. Lin graduated first in his class, receiving several awards. Following, Dr. Lin completed three additional years of post-graduate studies in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Rutgers University. He loves helping patients experience both the functional benefits of having a proper bite, as well as the social and emotional benefits that come from treatment.
Dr. Koo obtained her dental doctorate from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in New York. While honing her skills as a dentist and enjoying life in NYC, Dr. Koo indulged her passion for service as the founder of the American Association of Public Health, Student Chapter at Columbia University. Following dental school, Dr. Koo headed back to her home state of New Jersey to complete a year of General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, with three additional years of postgraduate orthodontic residency at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine to become a specialist in orthodontics. During her orthodontic residency, she met her partner Dr. Everett Lin. Together, they moved to British Columbia to start their next life chapter. Dr. Lin listens closely to her patient’s concerns and delivers treatment that caters to each patient’s individual needs.
